I have done about 30 full grain brews over the past 4 years since this adventure started. It still remains a huge joy.
My kit consists of a 50 l stainless steel urn, 80 litre masher made from two plastic toolboxes and a large (I guess 70 litre) aluminium brew pot that was originally an Indian biryani pot. I have been using this kit since day 1 and it has served me well so far.
I am currently playing with an Arduino controller to automate the whole contraption and do temperature control during the various stages. Still learning, but this is a new chapter in this adventure!
Prefer American IPAs with a few shovels of citra. My friends and family like my rendition of the IPA, although I don't think I will win any prizes with it. Despite all the hops, it has an underlying sweetness that finds favour with most people but that is certainly not true to style.
I also brew the occasional pilsner, Irish stout and Belgian Wit.
