Dave is a professional brewmaster, brewing consultant, marketer and writer.

He’s brewed award-winning traditional English beers at John Harvard’s Brewhouse, Belgians at Diamondback Brewing Company, citrusy Farmhouse Ales at Willoughby Brewing Company and is currently perched on the brewhouse platform at Royal Docks Brewing Company in Canton, Ohio where he's putting a contemporary American twist on traditional beer styles from around the world.

He has published technical, style-related and local brewery news and history articles in Brewing Techniques, The New Brewer, American Brewer, Great Lakes Brewing News and a variety of newspapers and magazines. He is the Author of Mild Ale: History, Brewing Techniques and Recipes and is currently working on a manual of practical brewery considerations for small-scale brewers to be published in 2024.

He taps into both of his professional pursuits for Royal Docks Brewing Company serving both as Brewmaster and as defacto CMO shepherding both the brand and the product it represents through the process from raw materials to packaged consumer goods.
