I started brewing small extract batches in a brewbox 10L kit.
After the first one I knew I wanted to be more involved than just opening a can of LME, although there was nothing wrong with the results, it just didn't satisfy my desire to experiment. From that point on I've been making up recipes of my own and enjoying the results.
After 6 months I invested in some All Grain equipment and went from there.
I still make the odd small batch of extract when time is tight or I want to mess around with some new flavour without the risk of having 20L of something that hasn't worked out as well as I envisioned.
