I have been brewing for about 7 years now and I totally got into it and gained about 40 pounds, someone had to drink it, anyways I helped a friend design and open a small brewery and sort of got the bug then I was invited to open and be a managing partner in a brewery, which I did, we have a 7bbl Brew-house(and a 20bbl at a second location), I have brewed at the brewery about 25-30 brew sessions, quite fun, my IIPA and Red Ale were on tap at the brewery while I was there, alot of stupid things got in the way so I resigned as a managing partner, so did 2 of the other 5 partners as well, so I ended up selling all of my personal brewing equipment and stopped for a year or 2. Well I kept buying beer from the L store and most of it was not great IMHO so I decided to start brewing again. I got a Robobrew and man is it a great little system and I can get a full corny out of each brew, my IIPA recipe is on here and it is really, I made a New England IIPA way before the style was thought up but mine actually is juicy, no dank or piney, resinous, not my thing, I also use an English yeast which I think helps with the overall fruitiness of the flavor. I will put my Peated Porter on here soon
I used to really enjoy IPA's but then most brewery turned it into a big dick contest to see how many IBU's they can stuff into a beer and they usually suck, I now more enjoy IIPA's because the hops balance more than with a single, I love Belgian ales, I have brewed alot of everything, I enjoy coming up with recipes, I recently added a lite Mexican lager to my collection and it is really good and great for a summer beer, it came in at 4.7% so pretty lite indeed
