I began my journey in 2006 at Marin Brewing Company as a cellar grunt and worked my way to assistant brewer over the course of five years. From there I took the head brewer position at Social Kitchen & Brewery where I won two Great American Beer Festival Gold Medals (2015 & 2017) for my English Pale Ale, Mr. Kite's. While at Social, I pioneered the Brut IPA beer style which was recreated all over the world and even brewed en masse by breweries like Sierra Nevada. After traveling the US and Europe in 2019 exploring breweries all over, I landed at Woods Beer and Wine Company where I headed brewing operations for the next 10 months. In the midst of Covid I lost my job there, but after a few weeks landed at Pacifica Brewery, which is a small pub that I run myself with full creative control on a brand new 10bbl Criveller system. I'm excited for this opportunity to continue to explore my ideas and share them with the world.
