Equipment used:
Malt Muncher 3 Roll Mill
Anvil Foundry 10.5 with small batch adapter
Anvil Bucket Fermenter 7.5 W/ Cooling Unit
400 Micron Stainless Hop Filter with Adjustable Hook
400 Micron Brew Bag for Anvil
What i found with the Anvil system is stir often, recirculate slow and extend mash times to get that all done in an adequate manner. Also, check your temps inside and outside the basket with a thermal pen. I have gotten mixed results on sparging and until I added the small batch adapter and brew bag.
I am tending to max recipes to the capacity of the Anvil system (16ish pounds of grain or 8.5-9 gallons of water) as it is all the same work to make a batch whether it is small or large. I scale based on my target ABV to get roughly a 6 gallon batch.

A quest for making Fullers ESB and other related English ales.
Sometimes a sale of ingredients or a special request encourages me to make something different as well. I recently went down a New World hops rabbit hole and I am enjoying those fruity styles as well
I only make public recipes and experiences that are amazing or at least well documented.
I now add half a pound of flaked barley (unless wheat is in the recipe) to every recipe to improve head retention and I can tell you if you are not doing that you should. Everyone has the right to nice laced foam clinging to the sides of their glass.
