My brewing system is an electric 240v 50A system based on the BCS-460. I reused my 15 gallon HLT and BK kettles and moved to the laundry room. Great move on my part as I no longer need to worry about running out of fuel in the middle of a brew day. The weather and seasons are not an issue any more. The hardest thing to deal with was exhausting the steam. The cost for the conversion was recovered in about three years based on the cost of propane vs electric and the frequency of my brewing. Now that I’m retired, I brew more and several different styles.
Brew schedule for the fall of 2021:
Zombie Dust Clone (I brew this 3-4 times a year)
2 Mug IPA (close to Bell's two Hearted IPA)
Pliny the Elder Clone
Hop JuJu (second time for the one)
Mystic Myra Imperial IPA (high ABV, not a section beer and 1st place in the regional AHA 2019)
I think this makes me an official Hop Head.
