I just started brewing in 2014. I brew in mostly 5 gallon batches, mostly extract recipes. I have just started to do some All Grain recipes via BIAB (Brew in a bag) method. About half of my recipes are kits from one of the local homebrew supply stores, the others are original recipes I have put together.
I am an enthusiastic amateur. I enjoy brewing very much but am still learning techniques and the science of brewing. Also, I am a member of AHA and have started a Homebrew club for friends and colleagues in the Minneapolis/St Paul area that also enjoy home brewing called "Hop Lords".
My "Valyrian Steel" and "My Blue Moon & Stars" beers were entered into the 2014 MN State Fair Homebrew competition and scored very well, but did not place 3rd or better.
