Brewing for ten years in an ever increasing fervor. I tend to the higher gravity concoctions. Give me a recipe and I'll change it in a heartbeat. I have never brewed a recipe as it stood from the books or from the supply store.
From my start with all extract, I have moved slowly to primarily all grain and have moved my operation outdoors year round utilizing a modified Cajun burner and all stainless steel pots. My mash tun is a ten gallon Lowes Igloo with a homemade false bottom.
If I can, I will modify equipment as freely as I modify my recipes.
Averaging three five gallon batches per month. I tend towards higher gravity (I have a Belgian golden ale at 11.5abv right now) and deeper colors. I consider beer a matter of spiritual transcendence as well as good food. I feel I will always be on the quest for the perfect brew, I hope I never find it.
