Sooo…I have the worst luck! :( I was following the advice in the video and right as i opened the top the rubber seal fell in the beer. . Luckily i have a second keg that i was able to swap lids.

Hopefully it won’t affect the beer, has this happened to anyone else and was the beer ok?

Never had that happen. I doubt it will be a problem unless it interferes with the liquid out tube.

By the way, here's a thread that should make you feel better. :D

Haha! I will keep that in mind… my friends at work had a list on the whiteboard that listed “most likely to…” and my name was the most mentioned. Should have seen my face when i depressurized and opened the lid! Did that really just happen $&@?!

I've had that happen but the seal has stayed stuck to the top section.

At least it's part of the keg so should of been cleaned and sanitized.

It'll be fine.

Yup that's a you know you did it wrong when moment:D!

I am perplexed how it happened. Opened top and moved out of hole and poof gone! Keg is only a year old. Oh well haha

I just had it happen and fished it out. Odds are it will still be beer either way!

they get stuck to inner surface of the keg and come off the lid when you push it down.. once you remove the lid, plop

Yeah usually only time I remove keg lid is When it's kicked

Ditto. I use a small smear of keg lube on every gasket, not only do they never stick, but they tend to seal better too.

I use one corny for fermenting, so oxygenate and then open to pitch
