That is The question !

I am doing a Hefe Next and want Some opinion on using a fining agent. I Dont want beer with crap in it, but Dont really want Clear either.

Agreed with Megary. I think a hefeweizen is supposed to look a little cloudy? The yeast doesn't floccuate well IIRC.

I wouldn't even add the whirlfloc. There should be about an ounce of hops only, There won't be crap floating in your beer.
Indeed, if you keg, give the keg a good shake every week to keep the yeast in suspension.

It IS all about the yeast!

Have you found whirlfloc to affect yeast suspension? Or are you just suggesting "the cloudier the better"?

I'm not a hefe brewer, so I'm honestly curious.

I wouldn't even use whirlfloc. You want haze, generally yeast haze but other kinds work too.

Honestly, I have never used whirlfloc in any of my dozen plus Hefe brews. So I can't say if it affects the suspension.

I Think that answers That. no products to clear it IoI.
