Look for SMASH recipes. It stands for:
S ingle
M alt
A nd
S ingle
H op
Get it? They are recipes that use only one base malt mash and one hop for both the bittering and aroma. It's a good way to test what a new combination of both would taste like. While it reduces the number of levers you have to fine tune your brew with, it really lets them be isolated to strength and weakness.
The last one I did was Liberty Smash which was a really nice pale.
