I am brewing 2 beers tomorrow and the plan is to ferment them both in the chest freezer. Only the two Big mouth bubbles will fit. Problem. One of the bubbles has scratches from my novice days using a scotch pad. It's not too bad but if I soak it overnight in inopportune should I still be worried?

Soak it for 20 minutes in iodifor. Nothing will live

I'm soaking it overnight. Is that too long?
Not harmful, but also not necessary. Go with the 25 ppm concentration (the higher of the two they recommend). You can make up a gallon and a half (2 tsp iodophor IIRC), shake it around in one for 5 minutes (OK, maybe 20), then the other, then let them both air dry upside down.

Don't towel them dry.
Rinsing introduces whatever's in the rinse, and is not necessary. Air drying elimiates the possibility of iodine taste.

Or go ahead and rinse, then just swish some StarSan in there for a minute.

For example, put a quart of StarSan solution in the fermenter. Shake it to get the inside thoroughly wet, then let it sit. Just before you're ready to fill it, dump the StarSan, then fill it with wort.
