I split my first batch between 12oz bottles and growlers. The beer in the growlers went nearly flat even though I tightened the caps as best as I could. Does taping them help, or should I just stick to bottles? ( I will invest in a kegging system soon but I have 10 gallons ready to go.

It is hard to get a good seal with a growler. You might try getting the more expensive plastic caps at your LHBS if they have them. I only use growlers for transporting beer to a party. Best to bottle in 22's with good quality caps (oxycaps) or keg.

+1 LB, just dont do it. When i tried it turned out flatter than a pancake. I gave it to a guy who will use it to
make some...uh....liquer

I bought "polyseal caps" that I am hoping will do the trick. Their construction makes sense and I believe they will prevent gas leakage. I split the batch between growlers with these caps and a bunch of Grolsch bottles. Drinking the Grolsch to get the bottles is OK with me.
