Hey.

Long story short, i have three vacuum sealed bags of hop cones in my freezer. One is Magnum, one Tettnanger and one Saaz. The only problem, i have no idea which is which.

Planning on brewing a pils-adjacent beer. Is there any way i could use to tell which hop is which, or should i just blend them together, use them for bittering/flavor/aroma evenly throughout the boil and hope for the best? They are roughly the same weight (100g total).

I would try identify the magnum as the other 2 are a bit similar after use, just mark the packs as "nice" and "nicer")
Maybe a little hop tea?

You could make a tea of each and try to distinguish but your idea of combining is pretty solid. You'll have to assign an AA number based on an average of the three and you'd probably be close enough to be able to predict bitterness within a few IBUs. It should be a very good blend for bittering and a single late addition for aroma in a Pilsner-type beer.
