Do you have one?
Or want one?
Does it take cartridges and/or soda stream bottles?
What are your thoughts?

I use 8 ltr oxebar kegs, but can also carbonate 1 and 1.5 litre pet bottles (still hoping to find bigger ones)
I've been thinking about a mini regulator so I can get an already carbonated keg to a party.
I figure one that can take soda stream bottles as well would be great as a lot of people have soda streamers these days.

Your input/thoughts/experiences please

I use them for everything. You can get adaptors for the soda can co2 canisters. the mini cartridges are not as efficient as large co2 canisters but work for me especially since I spund and really only need to serve and get carbonation to where I want it.

Thanks Josh,
Now lets say your brew is carbonated corrrectly/sufficiently: would 1 cartridge be sufficient to serve an 8 litre keg?

Oh, and forgot in initial post: do you think they are worth the money?

If properly carbonated you’ll be close but You will probably need 2. My mini kegs I get away with one and those are just under 8 liters.

worth it? For me yes since that’s what I have to do due to my set up

Don't have on but want one for sure Zambezi.
Other brew purchases just keep getting in the road.
The good thing is that the technology seems to just get better and better over the years.
Kegland have a sweet little mini regulator that fits soda stream or cartridge or co2 bottle.

Forgot about those but yes. Those cost more than my cheap ones

The handy feature is one that allows you to screw it on to your Sodastream or cartridge without breaking/pressing the seal. Then use another screw to break/press the seal.

Neither of the generic ones I've bought have had this feature. The Kegland one does for both cartridges and Sodastream bottles. I've been using an extra adapter with this feature for Sodastream bottles. But for cartridges it feels like a quarter of the volume is released every time I attach one.

So far the two I've bought can be reconfigured to use either cartridges or Sodastream bottles. I just needed to unscrew a plate at the bottom of the attachment area for the Sodastream bottles.

Other than that there's better or worse displays, but they don't really make much of a difference as the scale is generally so small.

And if you're going to finish it all in the one session there's always the atmosphere pump options.

Funny I torn one of mine up last night. I’m going to get a new one soon.

I started using a tee cap like that on a large soda bottle.
When I get lazy and don't feel like opening and cleaning an empty keg before refilling. I fill the soda bottle about half way with Star San . Pressure about a cup of Star San into the keg , shake and slosh around a bit and pressure the dirty Star San back out of the keg and down the sink. Repeat a couple times and the keg is ready to go already purged.
