Does anyone else have a particular discipline they participate in?

I started krav maga about 2 1/2 months ago. Let me tell you, it's not easy. Especially at 51. Lol. Gives you a good sense of accomplishment and the school i go to is nothing but positivity. They expect you to work, but make it fun at the same time. They are more concerned with safety and learning proper technique than just putting in the time.

So last night i spent 2 grueling hours testing for my first stripe. I think it was one of the hardest physical challenges i have done. Full intensity for 2 hours, pretty much sore everywhere today, lol. Proud of my first, albeit small, accomplishment.

3 months from now, hope to test for the next one. :)

Judo as a kid.
Nothing now

I just watch the badly dubbed 70s movies on Amazon.

I got to the "blue belt" level in Shorin-ryu Karate years ago but didn't continue when I moved cities in 2010. I remember a lot of it but I'm fatter and older now.

That must have taken a while. Blue is up there

I had a very good teacher and I am pretty physical so it works. My instructor was one of my college professors when I was young and I knew them well. He did it so he could help his daughter do the training and I just trailed along. When I did the testing events people seemed very surprised at how proficient I was.
