I have about 1.5 gallons left of a Belgian Blonde but I need the tap in the kegerator. Would I be better off leaving it in the keg for a couple of weeks or filling some bottles and stick them in the fridge? I say a couple of weeks but it could be a bit more. What say you?

If you have the option of filling bottles from the kegs, do it. :)

Beer keeps a lot longer in kegs, but if your going to drink it soon, bottle it.

I have started keeping my beer in kegs till the bottles are needed. Will +1 on beer keeps longer in kegs on pressure.

My vote is to keep it kegged. It doesn't even need to be kept cold. Kinda like a really big bottle, the beer will do fine for a couple months. A belgian might be happy for even longer.

i would bottle it. and have a sanitized keg ready to go. I recently started bottling the end of my kegs that are going slow, especially when i need a free keg. Working out so far.

Believe it or not, most of my "real" friends are not beer drinkers. They will have maybe 2 if I push it. I'm ok with keeping it a few weeks more. More for me.
Are they really your friends though if they don't drink beer? lol. I also bottle what's left in my keg to make room for the next batch and then I often give bottles away to coworkers and friends.

I use a 5 Liter growler - put my leftovers in that and purge it with CO2. Then I can use a party tap to drink some or just set it off to the side in my keezer. You can also get a couple of 3 gallon kegs and use those to the same effect. Cheers!
