hello please can some help me i have seen the Mash Calculator on this site and tryed it out and found it will tell me how much and temp of mash tun water but i am comfued about how i work out how much sparging water is need and temp of it are ther any calculators on site to help me i am only just starting to brew thank you

before you can get an accurate sparge water amount you need to set up your equipment settings and profile, then its simple, you have to say in a recipe the "Starting Mash Thickness" usually 1.5 is a start then go to the recipe tools and quick water requirements, and if everything is filled out correct in both your settings and the recipe it will tell you all the water you need. the key here is the mash thickness, you have to adjust that to your system and it will change more or less either the mash water or sparge water amounts
