Hi guys, I'm planning a Hardcore IPA clone using a scaled recipe from Brewdog's DIY DOG.
Firstly, i'd like to proof my recipe before plowing head, so if anyone with some good knowledge on small batch DIPA's could tell me if this is gonna work or not - very much appreciated!
Im trying to work out how much water to use for the mash and sparge.
....Forgive me, it's been well over ten years since I made my last all grain brew!

Welcome to the forum. I am not the most experienced, nor the most knowledgeable brewer here, but I don’t know how you go from a boil gravity of 1.041 to an OG (original gravity) of 1.093. Your grain bill is about what I would use to get a 1.5 gallon batch of IPA with an OG around 1.060, with about the same starting volume. Will you really boil off 60% of your preboil volume? Maybe another member will have better insights than me. In any case, good luck.

Recipe seems fine, but as Herm_brews mentions, the equipment settings and efficiency will be important in getting the grains right.

I'd be expecting a bit of an efficiency hit with that sort of original gravity, so I'd probably set the efficiency down to 65-70%. That will increase the grains a bit. Boil evaporation rate is another one that may not be factored into those numbers. If that's Brew Dog's numbers they'll have a different evaporation rate to your equipment. To cope with that, you can always do a longer boil, say 90 minute minutes, or increase the grains to cope with a lower boil off rate than theirs.

Boil off for 60mins with my elec keg kettle is 1.5lt / hour .
Usually your looking at 6 points of gravity gain out of the 60min boil.
With gas in used to boil off near 3lt / hour and I'd get around 10points off the 60min boil.
This can help with expected post boil numbers.

If it's your first batch you'll be winging it to some degree.
You could brew simple pale then tackle this hardcore brew with a more dialed in system...
