Default Yeast

Hello,

There is an option for "Default Yeast" in the Recipe Edit function, but there is no where else on the site that ties into it. Having a selectable "Default Yeast" that one could set in their profile would be useful, especially for brewers who culture their own yeast.

This can be done, but it gets into making a default for most fields, which is doable, but there is another approach that you can use in the mean time:

Create a recipe called 'template' setup the way you want as a base, then copy it when you want to start a new recipe. That way your yeast nutrient, irish moss, water, etc etc are all there (including yeast).

While we are adding default batch size, and default boil size in a related thread, we are going to hold off on setting up a default yeast. We are working on giving each brewer complete control over the list of grains and yeast. So for now, the idea of a default yeast is on hold until we address that.
