Crazy idea? Black pepper beer

I've had pepper infused beer years ago- Dave's Cave Creek comes to mind. But the green chile flavor doesn't appeal to me as much as black pepper. My thought is to add black peppercorns to the secondary for some of that flavor.
Has anyone tried that? If so, do you have suggestions for amounts or a recipe you could share?
 
Our brewery added szechuan peppercorns to a raspberry lemonade wheat and I really liked it
 
I've seen some recipes using black pepper.
Now to remember where....
 
I bet a rye ipa would be good with some black pepper
