I got caught up reading a bunch of posts a few weeks ago regarding cold crashing and worries about oxidation, suck back of fluid, etc. Many opinions for sure. Got me to thinking about it and figured I'd try a simple test. Normally I use a double air lock and just let it go but this time I tried something different.
Used a bung, hose and a Ziploc bag. Cut the corner, pushed hose through and taped it. I then filled it with CO2 and used it instead of an airlock on the carboy.
Perhaps 1-2 quarts at best of shrinkage, should displace to near perfect 0.
Same as balloons, but without the pressure (and I didn't have any balloons lol)
