Since we all, just an assumption, like different beers and such, do any of you folks use the app untapped? The app lets you list and rate the beers you have tried as well as look up beers before you try them. Keep in mind, all of the reviews on beers are from folks like us so very subjective. Before the app, I wasted a few bucks on beers that let's just say were not matched to my taste buds. Check it out!

I use it. More than anything to document what I like and see what’s available at restaurants so I know where to go.

I don't.
It doesn't add much with only about 9 different pilsners available here.
I can still remember which is which :)

I don't use it, but I've considered it. As a personal beer log, it definitely has some value. Over the years, I'm sure I forgot many beers that I had enjoyed and I know I bought some again that I didn't care for the first time!

I'm not a fan of the "group think" reviews however as I find them kind of self-perpetuating B.S. One review sways the next review, that then influences the next, and so on. It gets to the point where people probably review a beer without even drinking it. Heaven forbid if someone wrote a scathing review of a 4.5 star beer!! (I find this is a huge problem when the AHA releases their Best Craft Beers in America list every year. Amazing how the beers never change!)

I used it religiously for a couple of years. It just became another social platform and I noticed that I was paying more attention to untappd and checking in beers and whatnot than just enjoying the beer for what it was. I also noticed if out with family or friends, it was more about getting the check in and was distracted rather than enjoying the atmosphere and company I was with. It was a bit of a struggle at first when I stopped using it, but my beer drinking and social interaction is so much better without it.

Finding cool beers isn’t easy where I live and some places are updating it before their “board”. At least 2 of the places I frequented. I like it when I travel my wife usually lets me pick where to eat since I’m apparently the picky one.

I'm on it with the same name as here, I just often forget to use it. It was fun for a while and then like my food tracking app it got kind of boring.

I don't feel the necessity to advertise what I'm drinking or where. Don't use it, don't plan to.

That part I agree with. I just use it to find beers and keep a log.
Also, it would show what a boring beer geek I am: I generally only frequent a few breweries, unless I'm on the road somewhere.

That's really the only time I remember to use it, when I was in Denver or Sydney I used it for fun. Here at home? Nah.
