Calculators updated, water chemistry added
Saturday, March 14th, 2009All our calculators were overhauled today, some bugs were fixed (thanks to those of you who pointed them out).
The main thrust of the technical work for the last month or so has been the water chemistry calculator. We just launched that today and a related article that explains water chemistry in beer. We hope it comes in handy! Let us know what you think of it.
Time to sit back with SWMBO and drink a home brew.

Would it be difficult to create a Master calculator? The calculators you have on the site are fantastic tools, and it’s really not all that hard to enter my grain bill on two or three different calculators, but a calculator that will give me OG/FG, SRM, even IBUs in one go would be even fantastic-er. Of course, it’s easy for me to suggest it, perhaps quite another thing to develop it.
Again, thanks for the site with all its tools and info. It’s a big help!

That is in the works. I had the same problem. I use these tools when I brew personally. Currently getting it to save to a database and going to a printer friendly output. Maybe by summer.
