3 oz Amarillo (8.6 AA) (Pellet) for 5 days
2 oz Lemondrop (6 AA) (Pellet) for 5 days
Will add other 3 day dry hops in two days as fermentation is winding down. To prevent oxidation. |

Wet t shirt w fan blowing across it holding temp at around 67.5. Fermentation is very active, probably at the peak, but I'm not familiar w this yeast. seems to be a slow starter and then consistent chugger. Unlike nottingham or london ale iii. Adding dry hops tmrw |

Added:
3.5 oz Amarillo (8.6 AA) (Pellet)
3 oz Lemondrop (6 AA) (Pellet)
Added more hops than planned to make it 16 oz total instead of 12 because somehow I had an extra 2 oz of lemondrop (Perhaps I miscalculated for the lemondrop ipa and didnt do enough. This would explain the less than impressive hop flavor)
Shook fermenter after putting in dryhops to rouse the yeast and push out any oxygen that was introduced. Realized I may have shaken o2 into the wort by doing this... hopefully wont cause any oxidation, I think it will be fine. I removed the tshirt from the fermenter to allow it to freerise. Smelled incredible from the first dry hop addition

Not sure where volume went. Squeezed hop bags pretty well, but must have lost it because I did so many dry hops. Smell: a lot of pineapple & orange, a hint of cherry, maybe grapefruit. Clean taste, pretty absent of fruity esters I think. Flavor seems lacking, probably because its warm and needs to finish up. Very slight bitterness, a bit of the hop flavor is coming through. Well see how it cleans up. Tastes messy, but smells amazing. Moved to fridge to cold crash at ~32-33 |

Delicious taste. Fruit/juice flavor came through nicely. Wonderful aroma. The taste and aroma just started falling off in the past week, not tasting/smelling as hoppy and fresh. |
