WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

*Next time i do this i'll cut the bittering hops @ 60 maybe down to 0.5 oz. Tastes great, but more bitter than I intended for this style.

Brew Day - 04/26/2020

  1. Steep Oat malt, honey malt, carapils, and flaked oat @ 154 for 45min in 1 gallon of water.
  2. Rinse with 8 cups @ 168
  3. Add to boil kettle which has 4.5 gal preheated water. Add DME, bring to boil. About 6.5 gallons total (pre-boil)
  4. Continue hop schedule
  5. add the turbinado sugar, and yeast nutrient with 15 minutes left in boil

    OG = 1.062

    Dry Hop - 04/29/2020 at High Krausen. Gravity = 1.021 still going.
