First time using pump to recirculate mash and fly sparge. Fly sparge seemed to go well. Didn't have the manifold completely straight but looked like it was pretty spread out for the most part. |

Added bean extract to kettle at 60 min. This added volume to wort, so maybe contributed to lower OG. |

Sample taken. Smell is really good, coffee biscuit chocolate with subtle notes from the MBE. Taste was of course still green but a good start prior to conditioning. Needs to develop some but no obvious off flavors. |
