Notes
  • Pale gold color, smooth and light. Clear and a creamy, good sized, lasting white head. One of my better "light" lagers but it definitely improves with several months lagering.
  • 2 types of yeast for complexity WLP860 Munich Helles Yeast Fermenter , WLP833 German Bock Lager Yeast.
Jasper Y268 - Franconian Lager yeast produces a wonderful Helles in this recipe also and is my typical go-to.
Keep the water profile mineral content low, something like:
    Ca 27, Mg 5, Na 14, SO4 32, Cl 28, Bicarbonate 4.
