Mash went good. 146 for 45 min, then 152 for 30 min. Will keep recirc going when I pull up the malt pipe and hopefully wash the grains of additional sugars. |

Brew day went great. Fermenting a little warm to hopefully bring out a bit more banana esters. |

Co2 transferred to serving keg. Sample smells of clove and bubble gum mostly. Not a whole lot of banana coming through. Aroma also has notes of white bread coming through as well. Tastes has a slight acidic note up front with wheat bread in the background. Not a whole lot of banana, bubble gum or clove coming through in the taste. Also tastes a little watered down... Same thing as the Irish Red Ale I did. Not sure what is causing that. Maybe the campden tablets I started using? |
