Tasting one of the Kveik quick carbs.
Clean fermentation, a bit harsh hop bitterness from suspension, good head retention, murky.
A nice, noticeable character from the Nelson/Blanc, with fruitiness and mango |

Kveik pottion
Especially early, is very fresh, fruity, and packed with hops. There is a touch of diesel sharpness from the Nelson, but could be a bit stronger. Otherwise, tropical fruit notes.
Clean yeast fermentation it seems, I'd be curious for a second opinion whether there's a slight diacetyl problem.
The accidental higher mash temp left the beer a bit sweet, which is balanced with bitterness but still I'd go with the intended mash temp next time. The malt profile is how I'd like, some character but not enough crystal to be sweet or caramelly. Nice colour. Not bad head. Could be clearer, despite gelatin fining, but not terrible. |
