Realised too late that the actual amount of water below the mash is 6.7L, so mash was very thick. Otherwise went well, but pre-boil volume was a bit low: adjust losses somewhere for next time |

Had a boil over - temperature goes up *rapidly* when you put the lid on, haha. Didn't lose too much. |

I split the difference and said 1.055
This is on-target for prior to sugar addition. But 1L less than expected.
Have adjusted this OG reading by adding 0.01 for 500g sugar to be added |
