Friday the 20th of september.
I work at 5:30 which has allowed me enough time to brew this beer.
listening to MU ( Moth Man)
and drinking random beers from the fridge, occasionally running out to have a few puffs of a smoke and running back before the wort boils over.
so once i got a whiff of the centennial hops i got excited and pumped up the bittering addition from 5g to 10g. Flame out hop addition also went from 10g to 20g because i'm simply out of control at this point. pineapple has been diced and left in the freezer to kill off any pineapple nasty bois.
steeping 500g of carapils for 30min, i also melted the top of my new grain bag, i've requested that my partner fix it for me: Left seen at 12:57pm.
began boil, consistent temperature between 95 and 100.
10g of hops at beginning of boil.
At 33min i reckon i've lost about 1.5l of water.
at 14min estimated loss of 2l of water.
at 10min second hop addition - 10g
at flame out third hop addition - 20g
addition of 2.5l of cold water to wort before chilling.
will keep wort in the downstairs sink with ice.
Friday 27th of October
I 'pasteurised' the pineapple and added to my new 25l plastic fermenter. secondary fermentation on fruit for a week.
