Heat water added to kettle (equipment estimates 32.2 L) 16.9
Mash volume with grains (equipment estimates 32.2 L) 20.5
Grain absorption losses (steeping) -5.5
Pre boil volume (equipment estimates 26.7 L) 11.4
Boil off losses -5.7
Post boil volume 21
Hops absorption losses (whirlpool, hop stand) -0.2

WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

I add the lemon thyme to give the beer a lemon and savoury flavour that goes well with the fruity flavours of the Nelson Sauvin hops, and the dry style of the beer.

Aim for a champagne in colour and make it crystal clear with Gletatin.

I add hops in the fermentation to reduce cool side oxidation.
