35 psi for 21 hours. Trying to find the sweet spot for not overcarbonating. 21 hours is due to packaging at 7:45 PM and needing 21 hours before I'd be home from work
Excel carbonation sheet says 35 psi for 21 hours at 3.5 degrees C will result in 2.9 volumes CO2. BJCP suggests moderately high to high carbonation for wheat beers. |

Carbonation worked perfectly and damn I’m enjoying this beer. Bready malt without being too sweet. Good mouthfeel (maybe try some oats next time to up the mouthfeel). Orange and pineapple from the hop combo. Hard to go wrong with Citra. Warrior bittering is good from what I can tell. Kegged and ready for the beach trip. |

Kicked the keg after sharing with family throughout the beach trip. Picnic tap setup worked great. 10’ of line and still around 8 psi was perfect (in fridge). Very pleased with how this one came out. Compared to a canned Fortunate Islands and enjoyed mine a lot more (although the can was a few months old and tasted a bit sweeter). Lots of positive comments on the beer. Only thing I can think to change would be to add oats for a mouthfeel improvement. |
