Skimmed off the protein break early. Later dark grey film/scum on surface after first hop addition. Couple of dog hairs too. Removed as much as possible. Blogs say is from flour in finely milled grain, and is not harmfull. |

Trub clogged up the valve and the Siphon. Ended up trying to screen by pouring the kettle in through a funnel, but got impatient and dumped it all into the fermentor. |

SRM very good, clarity is perfectly cloudy. Nose is still a bit yeasty, the flavor has lots of pleasant bitter orange, nothing off. A bit of astringency, probably due to age. Yeast should clean this beer up nicely over the remaining time. |

Preboil sample was aged 4 days in a sealed container. DMS is very noticeable. A longer boil is probably best, as the post boil sample, similarly stored is sweet and malty, like a doppelbock. |

Orange rind floating around. Didn't cause too much of a problem. Must strain next time, or use spider/bags. Colour looks great. Taste is clean, but a tad too bitter. Orange-y. Might be good. |
