Added 8 oz of coffee beans (Brazil Mantiqueira) to keg in a nylon mesh bag with unwaxed/unflavored dental floss tied to it. Tasted 2 hours later and was surprised how much coffee flavor came through already, but it wasn't quite where I wanted it. Tested again 2 hours later, a little more coffee flavor but not there yet. Tested 3 hours later and pulled coffee beans. Coffee flavor wasn't overpowering but definitely noticeable, and gives a nice roasted flavor to an otherwise light beer. |
