Added 5.5 gallons of 150 F Treated water.
Then let cool to 149F
Mash at 132F after adding grains
Then added 2 gallons of boiling water to raise temp to 154F and hold for 30 minutes.
Finished at 154F
Then did decotion of 40% of grains.
Then transferred grains back to mash.
Heated 5 gallons of treated water to 170F
Let cool to about 170F.
Sparged with 5 gallons and collected 8 gallons of wort.

Took about a day to start fermentation. Then fermented strong for about 3-4 days. |
