Mashed grain using Anova and 2 gallon cooler. Anova kept shutting off from clogging(?) - I have to revisit this method...
Both Refractometer and Hydrometer reflected 1.040. |

Bumped up flame to increase boil vigor at 40 min, as there was still about 1.5 gal in the pot.
Both Refractometer and Hydrometer reflected 1.056. |

Couldn't find the yeast for this kit!!! Either it didn't ship or I lost it.
I used two yeast packets from two RyePA kits I had laying around from 2013(!) and there was vigorous activity the next day. I also used 1tsp of yeast nutrient. |

We have blow-off! Quite a mess. Swapped airlocks.
SG was 1.17, or thereabouts (refractometer)

Tastes good. Lemon character is there but not overwhelming. Hops are nice. All in all a good beer.
At kegging I captured 2 samples. One from the siphon and one from the fermenter. The siphon sample had a SG of 5.5brix, the fermenter was 6.5... I don't know what made the difference; perhaps the container? I had to let the samples sit for a day and the fermenter one was in a loosely covered mason jar, the other in an airtight tupperware container.
