5 min hop addition and whirlpool addition added in hop bags and removed at time of cool down. Whirlpool started at 180 F. temperature dropped to ~170 F. |

Pitched yeast at ~62 F.
Fogot to add cane sugar to the boil so added after yeast was pitched. boiled 1/2 a cup of water and mixed the sugar in to dissolve. Then added whole solution to carboy. |

Took a taste and was exceptionally bitter and unpleasant. Was worried the recipe called for wayyy to many hops.

Added dry hops and took another sample. The harsh bitterness faded and tastes MUCH better. Would like to keep this in primary for another week but wont be able to given leaving town. |
