Lessons learnt:
Create space in the kettle for squeezing mash bag by opening valve and letting fluid out into other receptacle.
Wear rubber gloves to be able to handle mashbag easier and squeeze wort out with more efficiency. |

Lessons learnt:
Dry hop only once wort is in fermenting bucket otherwise leaves clog up both siphon and kettle valve. If not using a hop bag then use sanitised hop bag (muslin) secured over end of siphon to keep bittering hops in kettle rather than fermenter. |

First test to check fermentation complete. Very raw boozy taste but sweet and caramel coming through in complexity. |

Bottling was a breeze with the siphon clipped onto the edge of the fermenter, held in place with a bulldog clip or two, and the end covered with a muslin bag. Attached to the bottling wand.
Need to sanitise the sugar funnel and measuring receptacle earlier so they are both air dry ahead of the bottling process. |
