Batch sparge gave me the results I expected but it required three vessels and I spilled grains, etc. PITA!
The PH was 5.1 in mash and 5.2 at 30 mins of the mash. WHY??

1 forgot and put the bittering hops directly in the boil, so I lost a bit more trub when racking to the fermenter. |

Refractometer. Not too surprised since I probably let it be down in the 148 range too much.
Dropped temp to 58 degrees and did the dry hopping. Leave it for 4 days, then cold crash for 2 and then keg it. |

Really pleased with this beer. Was too bitter right away but has mellowed. Overall, I think it could be sweater to balance against the hop flavor. Still slightly bitter. The beer is round and mouthfeel is full to medium full. Head retention is really good. |
