Whirlpooled right after boil for about 15 minutes and then threw the 3 oz of hops in at 187*F. Whirlpooled for 15 minutes after the hops went in then chilled and into the fermenter. Wort dropped to 176*F over the course of the 15 minute whirlpool. Pitched 1056 right away. |

Tastes amazing. Pretty cloudy after the whirlpool going into the fermenter. |

Tastes great, very distinct hop flavor from the El Dorado. Probably needs another few days in primary before kegging. Liquid was around 65.7F, OG is already temp adjusted. |

Super golden and a pretty hazy. FG sample tasted good, kind of a cloying bitterness that was a little sharp and a green/yeasty flavor. Keg hopped with 3 oz more hops to finish out recipe and set to 25 psi and 35*F in the kegerator. Did not fine with gelatin. CONSIDER ADDING SOME WATER CHEMISTRY STUFF IN TO CHANGE MOUTHFEEL. |

Still has that 'homebrew' taste to it a bit. The hop notes are not quite as pleasant as I'd hoped with some sharp bitterness still. Need to experiment with the chemical stuff. Definitely a floral hop with some citrus to it. Very low/no malt character, but color and haze is great.
The burst carb at 30 psi for two-ish days put it right it the perfect level of carbonation. Leaving it at ~7 or so to serve. |
