Temp exceeded a bit but fine for style 156F. Rule of going 10F over calculator number seems to work to allow for pump and line temp drop. Vorlauf went well but NOTE for sparging, should recirculate the sparge half way through or so to pick up more mash sugars |

More volume than expected. Quite close to 8 gal collected for boil. Overshot the water prep measurements a little night before. (Did two water fills with small kettle - first was close to 5 gal. The other about 4 gal. Requirements said 8.8 needed) |

Last five minutes added mint in tea ball. Also let sit a few minutes into whirlpool. Did a double whirlpool with two charges of fuggles. One at just under 200F and the second around 170F. Both for about 15 min |

Ended up with very close to 6 gal or wort. Chilled to about 78-79F so placed in Cool Brew with 4 water bottles to chill to low 70s. Took about 3 hours to get to 72 at which time I pitched the 1275 yeast slurry. Taste had a light tongue numbing mint presence. Very subtle though behind the sugary wort content. May become more apparent as fermentation completes |

Fermentation has slowed significantly but gravity could drop a little more since it's still early. Temp rise could help |

Transferred to keg and filled to top. Added hop bag of mint and fuggles for dry hopping. Also got two 650s and added 0.5 tsp and 0.75 tsp of mint tincture to them. |

Pulled hop/mint/nibs bag and let drain a little. Some loss but not much. Tasting slightly minty. Hopefully it doesn't fade |

Since this beer sat so long before the comp the mint had faded and wasn't enough mouthfeel. Added 1tsp of mint flavour and 2 tsp of chocolate. Not that fond of the results but weeks later it leveled out and is quite quafable |
