Added 560g of DME to fermemtor addong 9 points to OG giving SG of 1.099. Fermentation is hooking along tonight.

Tasted sample today. What an aroma smells nice and oaky. Flavour is a little rum like has a spirity flavour you can taste the oak but is thinned from alcohol.

Had 2nd taste last night has a real oaky/ burbony aroma slight sweet smell and a minscule clingly persistant head that fades after a while. Smooth is what i thought a lovely sipper flavours changed not to sweet good bitterness well rounded doesnt taste too hot.

Smells toasty maybe a little oaky with a sweet malty spirity smell. Mouthfeel is full smooth and tastes of a little oak with a hot alcoholic slight burn on lingering Finnish. Leaves the pallet with a dryness . Tastes good!
 
Notes

This averaged 40 points to score Third in Local Hombrew competition 2019.
Bit low on hops was main fault judges found so need to double up on hop bitterness and aroma. But after a year ageing I'm ok with little hop aroma...
