BREW DAY : March 16th
Stage one; Mashing and boil without honey only at 3 gal total gives
> OG 1.062 Target og was 1.066
>Loss of .004 to OG
Stage 2; Will dissolve honey into 170 degree water
> will add diluted honey when fermentation at peak Kraust
>target OG post addition @4 gal should now be 1.056 <br />
> New target ABV around 6%<br />
Stage 3 Addition of vanilla bean
> Racked beer into secondary Carboy after 4 weeks
> quartered and halved 2 1/2 Vanilla bean adn added <br />
them to 2oz of Whiskey <br />
>after a one week soak i have added the now Vanilla <br />
extract to the beer <br />
> going to let sit in secondary until kegging to serve, <br />
this will allow almost another month for all the <br />
flavors to mellow out and blend <br />

tastes good, maybe next time just little more vanilla bean, but besides that its really good
