missed mash temp by 2 degrees. added 3l of boiling water. came to 65.9 so .1 below target temp.
More than 8 degree loss between hlt and mt
Will adjust sparge water by 3 litre
Temp before dough in was 69 degree. 71 next time maybe. This is less than calc predicted at 74 !!! |

Trying 90 degree sparge. Will test grain bed to try and raise level to 77 degree. Last time grain bed was at 65 degree with 77 degree sparge water.
Made little difference to grain bed temp. |
