Aroma missed the mark on what I expected to be the typical aromas. I got a hit of roasted malt mixed in with a carmely, toffee in-twined with an unappealing earthy, grassy note. Not sure if fermentation was an issue or the esters of English yeast is just off but it was not appealing. Maybe I needed to let it condition longer?
Taste was ok. It has a nice mouthfeel, chocolate, malty sweetness with some fruity ester flavor. I will be adding THCO coco nibs and coffee to this, maybe that will help. |
