Pitched WL0013 into 1L of 1.04 wort, let that ferment overnight, then poured the whole thing on top of a second L of 1.04 wort |

Finished a point or two higher than expected. Tastes hoppy and there's some... grit? almost? in the mouthfeel. Hopefully that will settle out and the hoppiness will mellow to let the malt and vanilla shine through. If it doesn't, I've got some great vanilla extracts to introduce it to... |

Awesome vanilla notes -- way better than I expected from the sample when I set it aside to carbonate. Hops come through strong but not at all overwhelming. I didn't think I liked porters, but I love this. |
