-Overall a decent brew day. Ran into two issues that will need to fix for the next brew. I waited to take a pre boil reading before bringing the temp up while finishing the last part of the sparge. This added to the length of the brew day.
-The second item was while doing a whirlpool with a drill I knocked off the pump. This meant I had to strain the beer going into the primary. This added a lot of time to the brew day as I had to keep draining the strainer.
-I'm happy with hitting my gravity numbers. Need to work on efficiency as I only hit 60%. Will need to see if it's the mash or the grain crush that is causing this. |

By far our best beer to date. The complex taste was not expected. You get the hop aroma and flavour at first but second comes the hint of chocolate then the espresso flavour. Out of all our beers this was a full bodied beer which was nice as other beers were lacking in body. This is an Rea we need to dive into. |
